Position Summary: The Sr. IT Solutions Analyst, Operations will report to the Supervisor, IT BP North Slope Operations. The role is part of a team that supports the North Slope Operations, Major Capital Projects and Drilling and Wells organization. The position will be accountable for providing support and consultation on a variety of vended and in-house systems and software in the Operations space with a specific focus on Engineering and automation tools and processes. Additionally, the role will support the data analysis and reporting of critical engineering data. Responsibilities may include: Work in partnership and support of the North Slope Operations and Development organization with a specific focus on Engineering and Production Optimization. Build knowledge of operational technology and foster partnership to support IT/OT convergence Develop strong working relationships with business customers Translate business requirements to technical components / requirements Work with BU and Enterprise teams to support existing environments and develop new solutions that deliver business value Primary technical contact during the life of the effort (Proof of Concept, Troubleshooting, Support, Issue Resolution, and Integration) Work as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) across service delivery groups, ‘owner’ of the end-to-end work required to implement a solution Understand and learn new technologies to fully scope out issues and project work Partner with Reporting Services and data analytics groups to support analysis of business data. Provide technical expertise of application portfolio Determine and communicate impact, status, and time to resolution for on-going App Support Coordinate timing, scheduling, execution, and validating delivery of required work from service delivery groups. Understand corporate IT data and security standards Own testing and cut-over plan for Maintenance/Upgrades Own Operational Readiness Assessment and Review Cultivate knowledge sharing of the existing and emerging technology portfolio Vendor Support Integration Provide technical and architectural consultation to meet business needs Provide feedback from implementation experience to continuously improve solution design Qualifications: Basic/Required: Legally authorized to work in the United States 10 years experience in an IT, MIS, or Computer Science role 3 years of hands on experience with programming languages like ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, etc. 3 years of experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle 1 years experience with data analytics 1 years reporting experience using tools such as Spotfire Strong technical skillset with aptitude for problem solving and analysis Business analysis skills Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS or related Information Technology Field Initiative to work without constant supervision and a willingness to simultaneously progress multiple projects, reprioritizing work as needed to meet critical demands Ability to work with a sense of urgency and independence, displaying innovative skills to solve complex problems Experience with Application Support, Data Management or Application Development Strong analytical skills Willingness to learn new software applications and workflows related to data management and application development Demonstrated effective teamwork with multi¬disciplinary geoscience, and engineering teams and ability to perform cross-functional technical support when needed Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with IT teams and business users Technical skills to include C#, ASP / .Net, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle SQL PLSQL, Teradata Understanding of ETL technologies and their role within a data warehouse solution Strong writing skills to proactively maintain/create documentation Transmits information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended Ability to see “big picture” and pro-actively look for innovative opportunities within IT and the business Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering results while maintaining a safe environment Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions To be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date of May 23, 2018 .
