Payroll Technician I, II

- Responsible for performing a variety of duties necessary to assist the Payroll Manager in the accurate and timely processing of Southcentral Foundation's payroll. Maintains a comprehensive filing system in accordance with SCF's record retention requirements. This is a job progression, two job levels, designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences to participants as part of the overall assessment of their ability and capability. Promotion between job levels is based on performance on prior assignments and the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments. Minimum Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or GED. 2. One year of payroll experience, including processing computerized payroll, state and federal reporting and management of employee files. Additional Qualifications for Payroll Technician II: Meets all requirements of Payroll Technician I in addition to the following: 1. Associate's Degree in accounting or business or a related field or equivalent training and experience. 2. One (1) year of payroll experience, including the processing of computerized payroll, state and federal reporting and management of employee files.
