This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA. LOCATION OF WORK: 800 Merrill Field Drive Anchorage, AK

HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Example of Duties:

Perform customer contact work which includes the provision of a permit issuance for airport services and address associated problems and complaints. Perform a variety of clerical, accounting, bookkeeping and office receptionist tasks. Administer permanent and transient aircraft parking, security, and auto-pay programs, and applies associated procedures. Prepare reports, collect airport fees and perform cash management tasks. Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in office clerical work. Ability to type at a net speed of 35 WPM.


Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Information Systems or similar discipline and experience in office clerical work. Ability to type at a net speed of 35 WPM.

Note: Documented typing speed ability must be attached to the application to be considered. The documentation or certification must contain the applicant's name and be current within the past one (1) year.

Must possess a valid State of Alaska Driver's License by the time of hire.


Prefer applicants with previous work experience utilizing customer service skills.
