Provide strong leadership to the branch sales and marketing organization to accomplish the Operating Unit objective of being the Distributor of Choice in our Market area and achieving sales/margin improvement above and beyond historical results.
A dynamic visionary leader that will inspire the Sales and Marketing organization to new levels of excellence, execution, enthusiasm, and confidence
Sets clear direction, develops specific plans, hold Associates accountable, provides the training and environment necessary for the Sales and Marketing departments to accomplish their goals aligned with Operating Unit/ Food Group objectives
Promotes confidence and earns the respect of the sales team as an inspirational leader, resulting in tangible financial increases
Perform financial planning and measurements utilizing KPI measurements and available technology
Deals with Associates and customers with honesty and integrity - is trusted!
Understands the nuances of our market area, its competitive challenges, and will positively impact our perception in our market area Works as a member of the team with Associate Services to recruit and hire high performing teams.
Plans, directs and executes any arrangements required for participation in trade shows or other programs.
Understands the financial condition and needs of the branch and plans accordingly.
Responsible for all aspects of the selling process including Street, Chain, Healthcare, Beverage Department, Marketing and Sales Support Department
Initiative, problem solving skills, ability to create an energetic and productive organization.

Sales & GP
New accounts/Lost account
Collections and credit issues
Sales Promotions support and work with Category Management
Key account contacts and relationships
Key TAP lead street & Chain
Marketing planning and execution
Sales and Marketing strategy development, implementation, and execution
Liaison for Sales & Marketing with Operating Unit management
Utilization of tools and technology
High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or the equivalent combination of education and industry sales experience
Minimum of ten years of broad line food service experience, with at least five years in sales leadership
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels inside and outside of the organization
In depth knowledge of Alaska logistics with a minimum of three years’ experience
Ability to build effective interpersonal relationships with associates and customers
Exhibits the highest level of customer service in our industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate computer skills, with prior experience in industry and sales related software preferred
Possess valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and required insurance
Ability to pass background investigation and drug screen
